Nickel 200 and 201 both are the solid solution pure wrought material having high mechanical properties over a high temperature and pressure environment. The grades offer high corrosion resistance in particular to hydroxides, and other reducing Medias. Nickel 201 is known as a modifier of 200 that offers intergranular corrosion resistance at high temperature of approx 600 deg C.
General traits found in 200 and 201 are excellent resistance to reducing chemicals, excellent resistance to reducing alkalies and excellent thermal, electrical and welding properties. Although the corrosion resistance in marine and aqueous environment is very low and thus the fabricated products are used in reduced caustic soda and other environment.
