Hastelloy Alloy C276 Valves

Corrosion Resistant Hastelloy C276 valves: It is considered as one of the most versatile corrosion resistant valves alloys available. Hastelloy C 276 possesses exceptional resistance in a wide variety of chemical process environments including that to contain ferric and cupric chlorides, acetic anhydride, seawater, and brine solutions. Other media is hot contaminated organic, inorganic media, chlorine, formic and acetic acids, and hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.

Additionally, this alloy resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates or sensitization destruction in the weld heat affected zone. This makes it ideal chemical processing streams in the welded condition. These valves have good resistance to pitting and (SSC) stress corrosion cracking.

About grade Hastelloy C276 alloy is a nickel, molybdenum and chromium superalloy, in addition, tungsten developed to provide have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of reducing environments. The presence of high nickel and molybdenum contents make the Hastelloy grade especially, resistant to pit and crevice corrosion in severe environments.
