These forged fittings are precipitation hardening copper and nickel base alloy fittings. These forged fittings are combined with outstanding corrosion resistance ability with benefits like higher strength and hardness. Alloy K500 has enlarged properties such as strength, the hardness that is obtained by adding aluminium and titanium grade. The thermal treatments are recommended to effect precipitation. These forged fittings are introduced to the process called age hardening. Moreover, these are processed with cold working operations before precipitation hardening (PH) in order to retain mechanical attributes.
The strength of forged fittings are maintained up to 1200 deg F. At 400 deg F it becomes ductile in nature. It has a higher melting point.
Monel 400/K500 Forged Fittings are spark resistant and non-magnetic up to -200 deg F when annealed and turn in magnetic state after a cold working process.
